The reader can decode DataMatrix images, including GS1 data. It shows the decoded payload; it does not provide a full GS1 Application Identifier validation report.
Does a successful read verify print quality?
No. Decoding an image shows that this reader could extract its data. It is not a barcode quality grade or a compliance certificate.
What should I try if a code cannot be read?
Use a sharp, straight image with the complete symbol and a clear border. Avoid glare, blur and very small images. Not every damaged or low-resolution code can be decoded.
