About UDImaker

UDImaker is a browser-based workspace for designing labels in millimetres. It combines GS1 DataMatrix fields, Code 128, QR codes, readable text, images, shapes and tables on one canvas. Its image decoder helps inspect the data inside a barcode without installing desktop software.

What you can do

Set the label stock dimensions, arrange objects, check supported GS1 fields and save a reusable design. SVG export preserves vector artwork; PDF contains a 300 DPI raster image on a page matching the chosen label dimensions. PNG and JPG exports are also available. Designing and decoding do not require an account; downloads require a verified account.

Browser storage and JSON files let you keep designs locally. Saving to an account uploads the design and included images to your private account storage. The privacy notice describes this distinction and the services used by the website.

Who writes the guides

The label design and barcode guides are credited to Mert KILIÇ. They cover practical UDImaker workflows, example data, print measurements and common mistakes. The knowledge centre links directly to each guide, and each article shows its publication date and the date of substantive revisions.

Editorial approach and corrections

Worked examples are illustrative and must be replaced with your own identifiers and approved product data. Standards and regulatory articles link to primary references such as GS1, FDA and the European Commission. Check the current source and the requirements for your application before using a design in production.

To report a correction, email [email protected] with the article URL, the passage concerned and a supporting source where possible. Technical instructions should describe features that are actually available in the editor.

Scope of the tool

UDImaker does not issue GTINs, register devices in GUDID or EUDAMED, or certify labels. A successful decode is a data check, not an ISO/IEC print quality grade. EAN/UPC and GS1-128 generation, spreadsheet field mapping and multi-page batch printing are not built-in features. Review the final label, actual print and applicable requirements separately.
